On Monday evening, September 11th, CMW members met at the Atonement Lutheran Church for our Annual Meeting, Silent Sale fundraiser, and a potluck dinner. There were great art supply deals to be found and excellent food was shared. There was a brief business meeting and announcements made.
Note that the Paramount Show is scheduled for this November and there is a “theme”. The show will be curated by CMW member and Paramount employee Michelle Kiley. The theme selected is: Winter Light and Shadow.
CMW membership dues ($30) for 2024 can be paid between now and the first of the year to our Treasurer Ralph Carpenter, ralphcarp@gmail.com
The attached painting by CMW member Kerry Kupferschmidt, Prague in Afternoon Light, was accepted in the 9th Annual Northstar Watermedia Society National Juried Exhibition. The exhibit will be at the Phipps Center for the Arts in Hudson WI from September 15- October 29, The awards ceremony is Oct. 29th from 2-4:30 pm. Best of Luck Kerry!
The next Art Crawl will be Friday, October 20th, from 4 to 8 pm. CMW artists Arlette Twedt and Becky Jo Lee will be demonstrating in the lobby of the Paramount that evening. Stop by to support our CMW artists!
CMW’s Board Members are currently making plans for 2024 to include more members in planning the activities. There will be sign up opportunities at the monthly meetings.
