Art Crawl
Arlette Twedt and Becky Jo Lee will represent CMW and demo at the Art Crawl.
The Art Crawl is scheduled Friday, October 20, 2023 from 4-8 PM.
Booth and Demonstration Location: Inside Marquee Lobby.
CMW’s Paramount November Exhibition …. IMPORTANT DEADLINE INFO
The artwork theme selected for the Paramount Exhibition is “Winter Light and Shadow.”
Each member may submit up to 2 pieces of artwork (not to exceed 40 total).
Michelle Kiley will assist with hanging the show.
The drop-off day is October 31 (3-5 pm in the Lobby Area).

The information provided will be cut and pasted into the Paramount’s marketing materials. Deadline for submitting artwork is October 20th. Michelle is available should there be any questions or challenges using this online submission platform.
The take down date is Thursday, November 30 from 3-5 PM.
Michelle will share a few notes about the exhibition at our Membership Meeting on October 9th.
Art Reception:
The Paramount has scheduled an Art Reception for CMW on November 13th from 5-6 PM. This is scheduled prior to CMW’s regular monthly membership meeting.
CMW wants a great turn out so be sure to invite guests to attend the reception!

FALCON BANK SHOW PICK UP DATE TO BE DETERMINED… (end of October)
ART IN MOTION SHOW Once again, Art In Motion in Holdingford has invited CMW to show 18 paintings with the theme of “Water”. The drop off date is November 1, 2023, 10am to Noon. The take down date of March 29, 2024—time to be determined. There will be a sign-up sheet at the October meeting.
ST. FRANCIS CHURCH GATHERING PLACE SALES EVENT, SARTELL, MN Margaret Werlinger is sharing an art sales opportunity that will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at the St. Francis Church’s Gathering Place. It will be held from 2 to 5 pm. The cost of renting a table is $35. The deadline to register is January 15, 2024. To register, contact Geri Blais at 320-255-7009.
CMW FALL AND SPRING PAINTING RETREATS AT THE RIVERSIDE INN – COLD SPRING This past Monday through Wednesday, October 2-4, eight CMW members attended the Fall Painting Retreat at the Riverside Inn in Cold Spring. Again, a great time was had by all and the time spent produced quite a few wonderful watercolor paintings. Thank you, Claudia Forsberg, for chairing the 2023 Fall Retreat and also chairing it the Fall of 2024!
Pat Spence will be chairing the 2024 Spring Retreat at the Riverside Inn. The contract has been signed for Monday, May 6 through Thursday afternoon, May 9, 2024 (3 nights-4 days). Rates will remain the same. More information will follow, but be sure to save the dates on your calendar!
CMW DUES Membership dues in the amount of $30 for 2024 are due and payable before the end of this year. Please pay Ralph Carpenter, CMW Treasurer, along with filling out an updated Membership Form. Ralph’s contact info: ralphcarp@gmail.com
SIGN UP SHEETS Be sure to check in and review sign-up sheets that will be displayed at our monthly meetings. Throughout the year there are many opportunities for members to be more involved with CMW activities. These are fun events to work on and a great way to get to know each other!

December 11th – Holiday Get Together at Atonement Church. Potluck and original art holiday card exchange (make one/receive one). Social begins at 5 pm.
No Membership meeting scheduled for January 2024.
February 12th – Easel Night, President’s Challenge presentations. Topic yet to be determined.
March 11th – CMW member Michelle Kiley will present information about curating at the Paramount as it relates to CMW.
