Artist Statement: A love for nature and its never ending beauty provides the inspiration for my paintings. I love watercolor and find it "magical". I enjoy taking "license" to make a painting interesting by moving elements  around and playing shadow against light.

 

Background: Drawing and painting has been a part of my life since I was young. I was art editor of our school newspaper in High School.  I  attended Southwest State University in Marshall, MN.  I have been involved in many workshops taught by established artists such as Rose Edin, Karen Knutson, Frank Webb, Ted Nuttell, Linda Kemp and others.

Affiliations/Achievements: I am a member of Central Minnesota Watercolorists.  For twenty years my designs have been used for ProLife Across America Christmas Cards.  Gina B Design, a card company, has also used my designs for their all occasion cards.

 

I have exhibited my work locally at the Paramount Center for the Arts, St. Cloud Hospital, CentraCare Health Plaza and the Whitney Senior Center in St. Cloud.
