Postponement of our 2021 Art by the River Show & Conference
All the artists on the Show Committee are saddened to report that we have chosen to postpone the 2021 show and conference. It was not an easy decision since we had so many of the pieces in place and an excellent venue. But the conditions related to the Covid-19 virus have changed including increasing rates of infection and hospitalizations in our local communities due to the new variant. We have high risk factors here, according to the CDC and inadequate vaccination rates in the area.
We value the safety of our artists and the community first and foremost. We are frustrated because we were so close this time! The Park Event Center has graciously accepted this late change with the promise of an exciting event in the spring of 2022. We plan to keep all the features of our 2021 schedule. I learned just today that the St. John’s Bible tour is in the process of going virtual for the fall. This confirms that we have made a good but painful decision. Please remember to cancel your reservation if you have booked a room. If you have sent in your registration your payment will be returned to you. Keep working on new art and we will look forward to better times ahead!
