Tara’s work has been featured on PBS and at the Swedish-American Art Institute in Minneapolis. The Minneapolis Star Tribune said, “Tara evokes beauty with keen observation and rare grace.” It promises to be an outstanding workshop. Here is Tara’s summary of the workshop: The spontaneity of watercolor makes it the perfect medium for expressing character strengths and quirks. Jumpstart your creativity, wake up intuition, and strengthen technique under expert guidance. There will be instructor demos, guided practice, and individualized feedback. You will learn a “three-layer, four-value, hold-the-whites”approach to transparent watercolor. We will explore compositional planning, drawing tips, vibrant color mixing, pigment characteristics, wet-into-wet mingling magic, lively brushwork, and intentional lost and found edges.

The workshop is for all levels of ability. Masks will be required due to Tara being immune-compromised. Sign up today!!!

Below is a photo of Tara and two of her portrait paintings.

The first painting, Day Dreamer, was awarded “Best in Show” at the MN Watercolor Society Spring Show.
