Artist Statement: Being involved with art has been a life long experience for me.  Over the years I have engaged in a variety of art and craft endeavors. I started watercolor painting many years ago and discovered this to be a very rewarding medium.

The subjects I enjoy painting the most are wildlife and pets, however I like to paint a variety of subjects including landscapes and people.  Foremost when I choose to paint, it is because I feel a connection to my subject.  

                           

To build my skills with watercolor painting I have taken numerous workshops from nationally recognized watercolor artists including: Rose Eden,  Lian Quan Zhen, Linda Kemp and David Smith.  I have also had the opportunity to take travel painting workshops to France and Spain.

Affiliations/Achievements:  Since about 2007 I have been a member of the Central Minnesota Watercolor Artists group and have participated in many local art shows: hanging work at the Paramount Arts Center, the St. Cloud Hospital, the Whitney Senior Center and the Great River Arts Center in Little Falls, MN.  During the St. Cloud Art Crawls I have participated by being a demonstration artist at the Paramount.
