Artist Statement: I've been painting for over 30 years, exploring a range of media including acrylics and mixed media. While I've taught decorative acrylic painting classes and even created murals for homes and businesses, watercolor has always quietly called to me. In recent years, I've returned to this first love with deeper focus and renewed passion.

I'm drawn to the etherial beauty and unpredictability of watercolor - the way it captures light, emotion, and movement in such a delicate, organic way. Nature is a constant source of inspiration particularly flowers and colorful vibrant scenes.

Painting has always felt like something I was meant to do - an internal pull toward creating. It's how I process, express, and connect. Now with watercolor as my focused medium, I'm continually developing my skills, learning and growing, refining my style and celebrating the joy of colors, beauty, and nature through each piece. I am grateful for the many wonderful artists that provide lessons and tutorials for me to practice and grow as an artist.

I am Affiliations/Achievements: I am a fairly new artist with the Central Minnesota Watercolor Artists group having joined in 2024. Previously, when I lived in Nevada and worked in acrylic painting, I was a member of the Sierra Nevada Decorative Artists organization and for a while, I was a certified instructor for One Stoke Painting. I'm looking forward to showing my paintings at local art shows.
