Welcome back artists!

Summer break has proven to be full of adventures, even as we wait for our fall season of meetings. If you attended the plein air event at Reber Farm, you are to be commended, especially if it was a first try. The reaction of the artists was very positive. Thanks to Anita Hendrickx for the arrangements. I think we will be doing more similar events. Unfortunately, the Munsinger Garden was cancelled. But we were able to arrange a nice group of our artists for the Art Crawl on August 14th. It was a very successful night of sales and promotion of CMW.

Our new year begins with the Fall Potluck Dinner meeting at Atonement Lutheran Church on September 14th at 5 p.m. This is a great opportunity to kick back with your fellow artists
And hopefully greet several new members. The potluck is excellent and there will be a Silent Sale fundraiser with many items of interest for artists. If you have any art supplies, books, or tools that you no longer use or want, please donate them to our silent auction. This is a fundraiser for CMW. Join us and bring a friend.

This fall we have demos by Patty Schmid and one by zoom at the Paramount with David Smith. The workshop with Catherine Hearding on October 17th is nearly full. She is planning more tricks painting waterscapes, which I am looking forward to. There is another adventure for us in Cold Spring at the fall retreat October 26-27.

Please join us when you can attend a meeting. And please consider contributing in some way to our success by volunteering. It could be just helping to hang some art or bring some treats. Or if you have more to give, consider a board position. We welcome whatever you are willing to give. If we are to continue to thrive, we need your contribution, besides your wonderful art. I hope you are looking forward to another exciting year with CMW, as I am.
