Artists of Minnesota Spring Show Update
Planning is forging ahead for the “Art by the River” spring show. While the news of the latest virus variant is discouraging, we have several months for improvements in the status of our events to occur. We are encouraging members of Central MN Watercolorists to consider joining Artists of Minnesota. Our annual show offers an opportunity to show a wide range of media and meet artists from throughout the state. You can also observe three demonstrations during the weekend of May 20-22. Our juror, Pat Undis, is on board with our May 20-22nd dates. Patricia Lintner and Duane Barnhart both remain committed to demonstrate for us on Saturday, May 21st. Their biographical information will be in the AOM March newsletter. Watch for the newsletter in early March, which will have all the registration materials. Registration info will be online too. The Park Event Center in St. Cloud remains our venue for the show. You can learn more about the hotel at: https://theparkeventcenter.com/ There will be a block room rate available through April 20th.
One change is our tour of the St. John’s Bible. Due to a scheduling conflict, we have a new plan; A tour of the Richard Bresnahan Pottery Studio and Gallery, also located at the beautiful St. John’s University campus. You can expect other features to remain including the Pick your Prize raffle, excellent meals, local galleries to visit and street level parking. Please watch our website for updates. We understand there will be some reluctance to attend due to Covid-19. We will follow all local guidelines about gatherings for everyone’s safety. We hope to see you there in May!
